Happy End of Summer and soon to be Autumn!
I am happy to announce that, in conjunction with Social Work Service, we are starting a Compassionate Contact Corps program. This program is about matching up volunteers with homebound Veterans and having scheduled phone-calls. There are NO face to face meetings nor would you be allowed to meet, everything is done by phone.
We are finding, through our colleagues, that this is a wonderful opportunity and Volunteers and Veterans, across the Nation, are benefitting from the sense of belonging and talking to another person.
